Today's Prompt: College Essay Advice
Groups will be conducting a quick internet search to find advice for college essays, then presenting a summary of their findings in three slides to the class. Here are the guidelines:
- There is a ton of information on college essays online, and probably most of it is bad. You will need to sort through what you find carefully to decide what has value. Discuss the advice you find among yourselves and present the best three pieces of advice that you find. You can quote or summarize--or a combination of the two--the advice you present.
- You only have three slides--don't spend too long finding something of value you want to share, and try to keep it short and in focus as you share the information.
- Include a citation of where you got the information.
