Writing Portfolio

Schenectady County Community College has asked that students taking this course submit a portfolio of work completed for the course. We will be spending today putting together portfolios that will be submitted to the college for the purpose of researching how instruction is delivered throughout the college (and, by extension, in high school classes taking Eng 123). Try to be as complete as possible in assembling your portfolio, but don't worry if you don't have everything. Please carefully follow the instructions below:

1. In order to create your portfolio, please click on this link. It will take you to a Google Doc that contains the prompts for all the writing exercises and assignments we have done this semester.
2. Save a copy of the document to your drive, renaming it with your name.
3. Find each assignment or exercise listed on the document and insert it in the proper place in the document, replacing the text just below that prompt. Please paste things in without formatting, so that the portfolios will look consistent when they are all finished. Assignments and exercises should be on your drive, but the exercises are also posted in your online journal and can be retrieved there. There is a link that can take you back to the third quarter exercises that I can show you, as well.
4. When you have completed all you can of the portfolio, please share it with me. I will submit it to SCCC. Please understand that this will not affect your grade in this class, the writing samples are being collected for the purposes of research, not to evaluate individual students.
