Doing your best to follow those guidelines, write a response to Fareed Zakaria's Op-Ed piece entitled, "We have a bleak view of modern life. But the world is making real progress. Include a thesis sentence that agrees/disagrees/ or agrees but with his point in the article. Your response should be at least two paragraphs long, and it should have "Good reasons supported by evidence" as well as the other components of college writing outlined in the chapter.
